| Claude
Freak
The Freak brothers have been an ornament
to the SGFC since the 1950s.
The youngest brother Claude played
eleven seasons of Reserves between 1959 and 1970,
including premierships in 1960, 1961 as Vice Captain,
1964, 1966 as Captain, 1969 and 1970. His awards in
the Reserves include the 1960 Most Improved, 1961 Best
Utility, 1962 Training, and 1965 Most Unselfish major
annual trophies.
After he retired from footy, Xmas
continued on at the club as a tireless worker - most
notably as a barman, bar manager and the man behind
the eightball club from it's revival during the early
1970s, with many consecutive terms as President. An
outstanding clubman and personality.
