Thomson
In the early part of the twentieth century, players like Bruce Causby, Andy Cockram, and a gutsy rover by the name of Doug Thomson were much sought after by the league clubs down south in the city.
Thomson was a seasoned A Grade star, who reprsented the GFA on a number of ocassions and particpating in the 1901 and 1902 flags, before he was recruited by Sturt.
He enjoyed a long career as a Double Blue before leaving South Australia.
